Μeeting with the Environment Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms Ioanna Panayiotou with members of the LIFE MEDEA research group
During a fruitful meeting with the Environment Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms Ioanna Panayiotou, members of the LIFE MEDEA research group had the opportunity to present the objectives of the project which aims to protect the health of susceptible groups and the general public from desert dust storm episodes.
The commissioner has agreed to participate in the LIFE MEDEA advisory committee. The advisory committee will monitor and consult the researchers during the project and will support the transformation of project conclusions to best practices and policies by the relevant stakeholders and regulatory authorities in Cyprus and Europe.
